REDUCE - REUSE - RECYCLE - RENT!

Everyone concerned about the environment knows the the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling resources. ALADCO takes those three actions seriously, but we also suggest a fourth: Rent! Just last year, ALADCO rental services kept 5,800,000 paper napkins out of our landfills, not to mention all the paper towels and place mats.

We continuously strive to reduce our impact on the environment. For example, we recently invested $600,000 on a new state-of-the art Milnor high efficiency laundry system. This investment provided significant environmental benefits and energy savings:

• Reduced annual natural gas use by 82,000 therms - enough to heat 70 homes.
• Reduced water use from 2.5 gallons per pound to 0.4 gallons - saving 15,000,000 gallons per year.
• Reduced annual electricity use by 171,000 kilowatts.

As our linens begin to wear out and are no longer suitable for rental, we do our best to find a new use for them. Working with the Old Stone Mill waste-reduction team, our older linens are donated to needy organizations such as shelters,  soup kitchens,  and veteran, disabled and elderly care centers.
